Forest Hill Extension

This development project revitalized a 30 year vacant single-family home in the Forest Hill Extension neighborhood of San Francisco, California. A full reconfiguration of the upper floor transformed the home from a two-bedroom, one-bathroom layout into a comfortable three-bedroom, three and a half-bathroom residence including a primary suite and separate guest suite. The new design included reconfiguration of the stair, kitchen, dining, and a new expanded entryway. The spaces flow together through framed openings, creating a more connected and well-proportioned living spaces. Previously underutilized ground level storage area was converted into a new primary suite, family room, and living room, meaningfully expanding the home's livable square footage, along with a new outdoor deck. The result is a home that retains its original character while offering greater comfort, maximized floor area, and everyday livability.
